Post-hardcore and emo for the 2020s
Inspired by post-hardcore pioneers like Coheed, Circa, Deftones, and Thrice, modern-day machines pushes past the boundaries past of the genre and into uncharted territory. Their music is aggressive, subtle, technical, and everything in between.
Since the band's formation and debut in 2019, modern-day machines has cemented themselves as an inextricable part of the nyc rock scene, playing landmark venues such as The Knitting Factory, Mercury Lounge, and St. Vitus. Their debut EP, Visitor, received praise from local and national publications. Their sophomore EP, Resident, is slated for a third quarter release in 2023.
